Sixth album in two years (two tapes, three LPs and a double-LP) for British free-rock group DESMADRADOS SOLDADOS DE VENTURA. This one was recorded at the very beginning of the band’s January 2014 European tour at a hometown show in South Manchester where the bill was shared with Castrato Attack Group. The latter’s bass player Phil Todd (also of Ashtray Navigations) recorded the Desmadrados set, which sees the band start out in a slow-burning psychedelic haze before working its way steadily towards an ever-intensifying crescendo that doesn’t let-up until the end of Side B. The title is a reference to the lauded German metal producer best known for his work with Scorpions (who inadvertently soundtracked DSDV’s entire tour, especially the song ‘Steam Rock Fever’).
